  • Style File: Get the Yummy Look of Peaches Geldof for Less at Fashion Union.

    Comments Off

I have a real soft spot for fashion’s bad-girl Peaches Geldof. I love her attitude as much as I love her style! Her evolution from boho-hippie to A-list fashionista has seen her front row at shows in New York and London recently. With her enviable style, she’s not hard to miss!

With Fashion Union vouchers you get a double whammy: 15% off your first order and free shipping. With such a great deal, you can afford to pick up a few signature items from Peaches’ wardrobe. Take a peek into her style file…

    Black dressTyra Dress

At the Bulgari 125th Anniversary Celebration, Peaches rocked a little black frock that perfectly complemented her peachy complexion. She paired her dress with soft waves and red lips, and was, very appropriately, the picture of elegance. Try this look at a semi-formal ‘do.

    blueNicky Dress

At Beth Ditto’s Evans Launch, Peaches opted for a more colourful look. This dress is great on its own at summer garden parties, and for current colder months, pair it with a crop jacket, tights and ankle boots to rock it up.

    shoesLace-Up Peep Toes

Peaches played it elegant yet edgy at the Dolce & Gabbana’s Fabulous Night in Cannes. The fashionista paired her big-shouldered dress with gladiator-inspired sandals similar to these. The ankle-band looks best with a shorter dress, great for a night out.

    beltPlait Detail Belt

A good belt can take an outfit from drab to fab in no time. True to her rocker roots, Peaches regularly pairs a belt with dainty outfits to give them some edge. Try it with everything from your favourite denim to that flowery number your Nan bought you! Belts aren’t just for trousers anymore.

    jacketMorocco Check Jacket

Peaches opted for a casual-chic look at the V Magazine Fashion Week Party. Her short-sleeved jacket added just the right amount of style. I love pattern and colour of this one, and it lends itself to all seasons.

    skinniesAstoria Skinny Jeans

A favourite of both Peaches and sister Pixie, skinny jeans are simply a must. They make legs look longer, can be paired with virtually anything, look as great with heels as they do with boots and can be dressed up or down easily. Need I go on?

    necklacesDivino Necklace

A long necklace can be either the perfect complement to an outfit, or the centrepiece. At the Harvey Nichols Hosts a Dinner for The Row event, Peaches gave her long necklace a starring role over her simple two-tone dress.

Nab Peaches’ stellar style for less with our Fashion Union vouchers. After all, if you look like a star, you’re bound to feel like one. :)

  • Bargain Bonanza – Get Gorgeous Home Furnishings from Graham and Green.

    Comments Off

In case you hadn’t noticed from my Style File blogs, I like pretty things. And I also love savings! Our new Graham and Green vouchers fuse the two together, offering free standard delivery of their stunning home furnishings.

The collections are inspired by the British styles of the thirties through sixties and feature internationally-inspired pieces from Egypt, Morocco and Turkey. These beautiful furnishings range in price, and you can put the money you’d be paying for shipping towards an additional accessory! I’ve picked some of my favourites. Have a look:

    chandelierChantal Crystal Drop Chandelier

These look like they’ve been plucked straight out of a Jane Austen film adaptation. They’re genuine crystal and make the perfect centrepiece to any drawing room.

    union jack throwUnion Jack Throw

The Olympics have got me all patriotic, and what better way to show it than with the Union Jack? The throw and matching cushions are a tongue-in-chic addition to a guest room or couch.

    scandiphone_M1ScandiPhone

I love the look of these! I’m not 100% how to use it, but who cares? It’s all about decor, and these trendy ’60’s-inspired phones are the perfect pretty addition.

    candlesLarge Metal Beaded Candle Holders

The delicate beaded detail on the exterior is really pretty, and the glow of the candles in contrast looks hot (couldn’t resist!). They come in a couple of different colours, so you can match them to your colour scheme in each room.

    bedChateau Double Bedstead

Like a well-fitting bathing suit or skincare products, a bed is one of those luxuries that just can’t be compromised on. This gorgeous renaissance-inspired bedstead is an investment you’ll treasure your whole life – just look at that embellished mahogany coated in gold patina!

    rattan back chairRattan Back Chair

The plush cotton velvet is comfy to sit in, and the antique framing with a rattan back is pretty to look at. Need I say more?

  • Get the Best of the BRITS at Play.com!

    Comments Off

Well, the folks at The BRIT Awards certainly know how to put on a show!

Although I think LaRoux was totally robbed and Liam Gallagher is still a prize you-know-what, I reckon it was a top night. Between Gaga’s Marie Antoinette-inspired ‘do and Cheryl Cole’s missing wedding ring, did you even catch who the winners were?

I’ve  put together a list of some of the night’s biggest winners, and have found their albums on Play.com. And right now with our Play.com vouchers, you get Free Delivery on Everything. So get cracking! Stock up your music collection with the biggest names in British pop:

    Robbie Wiliams CDArtist: Robbie Williams

CD: Reality Killed the Video Star

    Award: Outstanding Contribution To Music

From his days as troubled Take That member to soaring solo-artist, he’s more than deserving of this award. I’m glad he’s back on the scene after such a long hiatus. I love this album, especially “Bodies” & “Do You Mind”.

    lily allenArtist: Lily Allen

CD: It’s Not Me, It’s You

    Award: Best Female Solo Artist

Ever tongue-in-cheek, “It’s Not Me, It’s You” picks up where “Alright, Still” left off. I loved her performance of “The Fear”, one of my fave tracks on the album, at the BRITS last night. Did you?

    lady gagaArtist: Lady Gaga

    Album: The Fame Monster

Awards: International Breakthrough Act, International Female Solo Artist, International Album

She toned down her performance in light of Alexander McQueen’s death last week, but although it was more sombre, Gaga’s performance was still spot-on. I like that she picked “Telephone” and “Dance in the Dark” to sing as they’re two great songs off the album you don’t hear enough.

    jlsArtist: JLS

    Album: JLS

Awards: British Breakthrough Act, British Single

X-Factor lovelies JLS won for “Beat Again” off their self-titled debut album, as well as for British Breakthrough Act! They beat out Pixie Lott, LaRoux and favoured-to-win Cheryl Cole for the honour. Do you think they deserved it?

florence and the machineArtist: Florence and the Machine

    Album: Lungs

    Awards: Best British Album

While this effort from Florence Welch and the lads is solid, I’m not sure it’s the best album in Britain this year. That said, their cover of Candi Staton’s “You’ve Got the Love” is always my weapon of choice when I’m having a girly moment.

    BRIT 2010 cdArtist: Various

    CD: BRIT Awards 2010

If you can’t choose just one BRIT award-winner to stick on repeat, why not have the lot? This 3-disc compilation features songs from this year’s nominated artists and albums as well as never-heard-before collaborations.

By the way – did I mention that in addition to all this wicked music, Play.com also sells merch, stuff for your mobile, clothing, gig tickets and more? Shop with our Play.com vouchers and enjoy savings that are music to your ears.

  • Save on Personalised Valentine’s Cards from YOODOO!

    Comments Off

I’m the farthest thing from a romantic you can imagine, but I suppose I should try and scout some deals for you this Valentine’s Day. Now, I could suggest roses and red wine, but what would be the point? We all know what the traditional Valentine’s Day prezzies are. So how about some you may not have thought of?

With our YOODOO vouchers, you get 20% Off Personalised Valentine’s Day Greeting Cards. Make sappy cliched messages a thing of the past. Feel free to get naughty, cheeky, sweet or downright rude when designing your very own card!

They’re dead easy to personalise. I’ve already had a go:

    teacup pigStyle – Cute

Aww! Tea Cup Pigs are one of the cutest pets on the planet, so it only makes sense they belong on the front of a greeting card. These are a great idea to shower the little kids in your life with some Valentine’s love.

    renderImage.aspxStyle – Funny

Everyone appreciates a little saucy humour when Cupid’s in town. For the cheeky lad or lass in your life, create a humorous card to show them how much they mean to you.

    TRADISHStyle – Traditional

If you’ve got a more traditional taste but still want to add that personal touch, pick one of the classic styles that you can’t go wrong with. This red rose is a symbol of love, but customising your greeting card’s message can help lessen the “cheese” factor!

    fabStyle – Photo

Uploading your own photo is quick and easy, plus you can go either way. Upload a casual candid photo or the goofiest pic of your mug you can find! It doesn’t get much more personal than this, plus it shows you put time and thought into creating the card.

These are just a couple of suggestions, but there are loads more to choose from! And not just Valentine’s Day either. Use our YOODOO coupons and save on a card for every holiday.

From the family here at FabulousSavings.co.uk – Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • Style File: Give Yourself a “New Look” a la Holly Willoughby’s at New Look!

    Comments Off

The Xtra Factor’s Holly Willoughby is known for her stunning curves, bubbly personality and of course her style! Unlike her rocker-chic counterpart Fearne Cotton, Holly describes her look as more classic. “I love the old-fashioned glamour of her (Marilyn Monroe’s) era and that’s what I aim to emulate” she explains. If it’s a look you want to emulate, read on…

For a limited time only, use our New Look vouchers to save 10% on all regular priced merchandise. And we’re not having a laugh when we say “limited time” – this offer’s only good until Wednesday February 17th! I’ve peeked through some of Holly’s most beloved outfits and found some key wardrobe items. Have a look:

    bootsLeather High Leg Boot

Holly’s rarely seen on casual days without a strapping pair of boots. A pair like this goes great with skinny jeans or jeggings and is perfect for spring, autumn and winter!

    skirtFour Button Formal Skirt

High-waisted skirts do wonders for curves. Holly was way ahead of the trend wearing a skirt similar to this at the premier of the TV series “Scarlet”. Pair this with a chic blouse and dress it up or down easily to take you from day to night.

    shirtFitted Cotton Shirt

“I also like suit shirts – they look good slightly unbuttoned with a cute bra underneath,” admits Holly, and I couldn’t agree more. No wardrobe is complete without a classic shirt anyway, so invest in one like this from New Look to wear buttoned up to the office, and a little looser at the pub afterwards!

    redRibbed Jersey Dress

A staple in Holly’s wardrobe is red – and lots of it! From scarves to shoes, coats to pashminas – even on her lips. Try pairing this dress with black tights and boots for a more punky edge, or stick to bare legs and killer heels for a look that’s a no-nonsense knockout.

    dress

    Bubble Hem Coat

During a recent taping of ITV’s ‘This Morning’, Holly rocked a bubble-hemmed coat. Although hers was – you guessed it – red, I like this demure pink against the oversized black buttons. It comes in 2 other colours too, so take your pick!

    beltPlaited Bow Belt

A key to having a curvy waist is knowing how to work it. Holly regularly makes big belts like this one the centrepiece of her outfit, wearing them a little higher around her stomach to really accentuate her hour-glass figure.

    black derssIdol Weave Trim Dress

Holly’s wardrobe includes many low-cut dresses to accentuate her enviable decollete! I love this dress because of the braid detailing that hugs the hips, really accentuating those curves.

Remember, this offer is only good until Wednesday! Go on, get your shop on. Save while you can with our free New Look vouchers.

  • Style File: Head to the Top of the Class & Get Talulah Riley’s Look for Less at Miss Selfridge.

    Comments Off

She’s best known onscreen for playing lovable misfit Annabelle Fritton in St. Trinian’s, but off-screen Talulah Riley is blazing a fashion trail of her own – and it is hot! My latest style crush, who’s rarely seen without equally gorgeous St. Trinian’s co-star Tamsin Egerton, looks flawless whether she’s on the red carpet or the highstreet.

Right now with our Miss Selfridge vouchers, you can get free delivery on orders over £80 as well as numerous special offers! I’ve snooped through the Style Files to find some of Talulah’s hottest looks for less from the Miss Selfridge collection. Take a boo:

    blackdressBlack One Shoulder Dress

Talulah rocked a one-shoulder Grecian-inspired mini at ‘The Boat That Rocked’ premiere. Create a similar look with this chic black one-shoulder number. Pair it with some killer heels to instantly make legs look longer.

    jacket

    Spot Crombie Jacket

Talulah’s a fan of the British trench coat, sporting one recently at the Burberry Fragrance and Dom Perignon Launch Parties. Find fashion-forward takes on the classic trendy trench like this one and take advantage of the colder weather!

    earringsEnamel Filigree Drop Earrings

At the 18th annual BAFTA awards, Talulah accessorised with some big dangly earrings. Spice up a simple outfit with a dazzling pair to make a stand-out statement.

    eyelashes148 Intense Lashes

To replicate Talulah’s dramatic eyes at the St Trinian’s II: Fritton’s Gold premiere, add some false lashes. Miss Selfridge has a varied selection ranging from individuals to full sets.

    tights70 Den Tights

Thanks to the success of St. Trinian’s, tights are back in. For a naughty schoolgirl look, pair them with a tiny skirt to turn some heads!

    red dressRed Cross Back Dress

At the Beyond the Rave launch party Talulah wore a stunning red number. Our English Rose paired it with ruby red lips, which set off her dark hair and pale complexion beautifully. This one can be dressed down for a more demure day look.

grey dressGrey Corsage Trim Day Dress

The Couverture and Garbstore launch party saw Talulah in a casual grey dress. I love this one from Miss Selfridge, particularly the rose trim detail. Talulah matched it with a black leather jacket for a punky edge, but on its own with gladiator sandals is summer chic.

These are just a few suggestions, and with the brilliant deals our Miss Selfridge vouchers get you, you’ve got no excuse not to try! Stay tuned, as next I try to find ways to nabHolly Willoughby’s look!
